Aircraft Ice Protection – why, when, what and how
We continue the ‘Cycle of online seminars on anti-icing, de-icing and acoustic waves’, an outreach initiative framed within the dissemination and exploitation plan of the Sound of Ice.
Francisco Redondo, Senior Expert in Environmental and Thermal Control Systems in Airbus Defense and Space Engineering, will participate in this second seminar, which will be held on November 24 at 11:00 a.m. (CET) at the Institute of Materials Sciences in Seville and will be broadcasted online. He will give the lecture Aircraft Ice Protection – why, when, what and how.
Francisco José Redondo has been actively participating since 1989 in the Design, development, ground and flight testing and certification of aircraft Ice Protection, Pneumatic, Environmental Control, and Life Support Systems for aircrafts like A400M, C-295, 728 JET, A-330 MRTT, EF-2000 and C-101. He is also giving lectures in the Systems Integration Master sponsored by Airbus in the Carlos III University, is a member of Advisory Board of MAITAI and SENS4ICE projects, Topic Manager for several CleanSky2 projects and participated in the Eurocae Working Group 95 on last update of ED103 about aircraft ice detectors. Shares 4 patents and 2 publications. He is currently appointed Senior Expert in Environmental and Thermal Control Systems in Airbus Defense and Space Engineering Directorate from 2011 and was head of ECS Department at Airbus Military from 2006 to 2015. He obtained a Bachelor Degree in Aeroengines Engineering and in Electronics Engineering from Polytechnic University of Madrid.
